Aqua-Adventures Beach & Surf Camp
Daily Schedule
A
typical day at Aqua-Adventures Beach & Surf Camp
looks like this:
(Note: We provide alternative activities for increment weather
days or for full day campers which includes optional art/crafts.
)
9:30
am to 10:00 am or 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm
Getting to Know You Rap Session,
environmental awareness, water safety, surf instruction, and/or
sand-castle technique (on-land)
10:00
am to 10:30 am or 1:30 pm- 2:00 pm Relay races, Frisbee,
bocce-ball, volleyball, scavenger hunts, hiking, park-play,
and more OR straight to the water (Kids get some choices
here)
10:30 am or 2:30 pm
Snack Time. We do not provide snacks on Monday-Thursday.
We recommend that you send your child with a substantial snack
like fresh fruit and/or nuts. On Fridays, we provide snacks
at our Grande Finale beach party.
10:00 am to 12:45 pm or 1:30 to 4:00 pm
One-on-one Surf Lessons begin (optional) Older surfers
who “test out” can surf on their own. (Two surfers at one time.)
The rest of the team can play sand games, do sand-castles,
and/or boogie-board. Older children who “test-out” can be escorted
out with an advanced swimming counselor (one-on-one) to practice
deeper water swimming and/or bodysurfing.

Pick up for morning session and drop off for afternoon session
(Keep
in mind, we modify the schedule based on weather variations
also.)
At
the Del Mar location our base camp is just south of the showers
and Community Center and north of 15th St. Look for the
blue canopy with beach supplies underneath.

Registration
Steps:
1. Call (760) 436-1514 or e-mail to make sure we still
have space in a particular week
2. To pre-register, call or e-mail with the following
information: Your name, Camper(s) name, mailing address, dates,
times, & location of camp. Once you have pre-registered
we will hold your space(s) for that time slot for one week.
3. Download the registration form on the website or call
us to fax or mail it to you.
4. Send in the registration form and payment within one
week of pre-registration. We prefer payment by check if possible.
If we have not received registration and payment within one
week, we cannot guarantee availability of that space.
5. Once we have received your registration and payment,
we will send you post-registration paperwork which confirms
your registration with details on drop-off, pick up, what to
bring, what is provided.
6. Meet us at camp and have a blast learning and playing
in the ocean and on the beach.

Safety
is issue number one at Aqua-Adventure Team Beach Camps:
· On
land activities,
we have a ratio of one adult per ten campers with one
assistant.
· In
the water,
The ratio of counselors to children is 1:4.
· For
surfing,
each child is taught one-on-one UNLESS they are seven
years or older AND ‘test-out’
